I'm Sergei. I build at the seams of machine learning, systems, rendering, and information retrieval.
I build things. Most of what I build lives in the Own* stack - a small collection of tools I wanted to exist. A custom LLM inference engine, a Vulkan-based browser, a local search engine, a handful of supporting services. Not for market, not a startup. Tools for one person, made carefully, then made available.
I work as an orchestrator plus LLM. Architecture, direction, and review are mine. Line-by-line code is LLM-assisted - Claude Code is the primary implementation channel. It isn't 'AI wrote it for me,' and it isn't 'I wrote it alone.' It is a hybrid: I supply taste and direction, the model carries volume and execution. Part of why I write here is to describe what this mode looks like from the inside.
My interest sits at the seams between domains. A browser that also does 3D. A search engine that will eventually feed an inference engine's answer-box. A dashboard that is also a meta-runtime. None of these projects are finished. All of them work.
Stabilizing drift in a self-learning LLM (Own Engine), polishing the search index for its public debut, slowly extending VulkanBro, writing this site. Details on the Projects page.
